1st-gen Box cranks return with a new name, the RTS-1. Inspired from the United States Space Shuttle program, STS-1 (Space Transportation System, flight 1) saw its first flight April 12, 1981. This historic event coincides with the release of the 1st-gen Hutch crank released in early 1981. RTS-1 (Race Track System 1st-gen) marks 3 decades of BMX performance race engineering and design, which parallels the 3 decades of service that the Space Shuttle program continues to provide us today. RTS-1's are nearly identical in every way to their vintage counterparts, and include the HUTCH stamp on the inside of each arm. RTS-1 arms include show-chrome finish and correct 4 degree rake. RTS-1's come standard with a CrMo spindle and CrMo bolts, along with 5-point star spider with laser-etched Hutch Hi-Performance BMX logo. Anodized color selection is a great way to make these cranks stand out from anything in the past. RTS-1 crank sets come complete with arms, spider, bottom bracket, and are available in 175mm or 180mm length.
Please note: this item is not in-stock. These cranks are hand-made to make and the number of orders exceeds the number that I am able to keep up with. You are welcome to place your order, which will secure your place on the waiting list since all cranks are sent out in that corresponding order. Expect a long wait, but expect a top quality and legendary product when it arrives.
